We bid farewell to Mathew Yelcich (New Bern, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 28, 2025 at the age of 84. Mathew touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Yelcich and Mary Yelcich (Ribic); his wife Karen Elizabeth Yelcich; his son Eric Matthew Yelcich; and his siblings, John Yelcich, Thomas Yelcich, Ruth Shepherd, Josephine Kovack, Stella Securo and Irene Bogdanich.
He is survived by: his daughter Kelly Elizabeth Jones (Kevin) of New Bern, NC; his grandson Matthew Antonio Gomez of New Bern, NC; and his siblings, Deloris Moran of Fairmont, WV and Lou Yelcich of Fairmont, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Pinehurst (7373 NC-211, West End, NC 27376).
