She was loved and cherished by many people including : her children, Shunard Brown of Philadelphia, PA, David Lee of New Bern and Tashida Jones of New Bern; and her siblings, Jeffrey Walston of Suishn, CA and Ssybil Armond of Berkeley, CA. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
