We are sad to announce that on April 27, 2021, at the age of 78, James Elmer of New London, North Carolina, born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Elmer to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Edwin Betka and Beatrice Abrahamson Betka; his wife Ina Dieckmann Betka; his grandson Daniel Betka; and his siblings, Michael Betka, Bev Putzi and Nancy Betka.

He is survived by : his sons, Robert Betka (Melissa) of Richfield, NC and David Betka (Mandy) of Peyton, CO; and his grandchildren, Joshua Betka, Adalyn Betka, Josiah Betka, Jeremiah Betka and Lucas Betka.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
