She was predeceased by: her parents, Clay Hughes and Myra Gouge Hughes; her husband Phillip Woody; and her siblings, Ralph, Earl, Vearl, Garrett June, Ted Hughes and Nean Crowder.
She is survived by: her sibling's children, Myrtle Billings, Estell Wilson, Helen Burleson and Kay Freeman.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Roaring Creek Missionary Baptist Church (2044 Roaring Creek Rd, Newland, NC 28657).
