It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Jones of Newland, North Carolina, who passed away on January 28, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Jones and Lucy Cook Jones; his wife Janie Jones; his daughters, Tina Jones and Marsha Fletcher; and his brothers, Jimmy, Johnny and Lynn Jones.
He is survived by: his brothers, Paul Jones (Judy) of Elizabethton, TN, Charles Jones of Elizabethton, TN and Bill Jones (Naomi) of Elizabethton, TN; his grandsons, Levi Gwyn, Daniel Gwyn and Joshua Gwyn; his siblings' children, Tony, Scott, Benjamin Jones, Sarah Jones-Naylor and Danielle Weston; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Landon, Colby Jones, Kenzie and Adalynn.
