He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrol Jones and Pearl Jones; his brother J. C. Jones; and his grandson Logan Jones. He is survived by: his wife Eula Jones; his son Alton Jones Jr. (Lisa) of Newport; his brother Curtis Jones (Brenda) of Morehead City; and his nephew Curt Jones (Stephanie) of Pikeville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
