He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hines and Dorothy Hines. He is survived by: his wife Florine Mills Hines; his children, Edward Russell McArthur and Valorie McArthur McCray; his grandchildren, Vickie Burgfeld, Warren McArthur, Keelin McArthur and Jamie Bowers; and his great grandchildren, Hallie, Madison, Michael, Gabriel, Rain and Taylor.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Albemarle (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Simpson Cemetery.
