He was predeceased by: his parents, William Arthur "Billy" and Ida Mae Williams Denning; and his siblings, Evit, Ezra, Carsie, Hyson Denning, Ollie Denning Raper and Kizzie Denning Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce "Jody" Ainley Denning; his children, Vicki Denning Bennett (John Bennett) of Wilmington, NC and Rich Denning (Teresa Denning) of Lynchburg, VA; his stepchildren, Tim Overman of Newport, NC, Kathy Pake of Beaufort, NC and Jeannie Kelly of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Angelika Hope Denning, William "Will" Arthur Denning II, Jonathan Randle Denning, Jessica Anne Denning and Joshua Richardson Denning; and his great grandchild Daniel.
