It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Peter Jacobi Sr. of Newport, North Carolina, who passed away on October 26, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Olivia Jacobi; his father Charles H. Jacobi; his daughter Pamela Dow; his daughter-in-law Doris Jacobi; his grandson Jeffrey Gunder; and his great grandchild Freya Kate Gray.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Gunder (Robert) of Indiana and Charles P. "Buddy" Jacobi Jr. of Newport; his half-brothers, Tony Jensen of West Virginia and Ted Jensen (Jeanette) of Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Bobby Gunder (Colleen Barrett) and Leslie Gunder; his stepgranddaughter Terri Parsons (Andrew); and his great grandchildren, Angel Ramirez, Caroline Shunk and Bjorn Gray.
In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home.
