He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Elizabeth Nicole Lewis of Beaufort and Ryan Taylor Lewis of Atlantic Beach; his mother Vera Nixon (Gerald) of Smyrna; his siblings, Veronica Huff of Davis, Regina Davis (Brandon) of Harkers Island, Krystle Nixon of Bettie, Danielle Hopewell of Newport and Gerald Nixon, Jr. of Smyrna; his grandmother Sadie Mae Lewis; his aunts and uncles, Violet Gillikin (Kyle), Lois Hester (Anthony), Mitch Lewis (Melinda), Blake Lewis (Tina), Jim Willis Lewis, Stuart Nelson (Valerie), Claude "Nook" Lewis and Grady Lewis; his siblings' children, Robert Huff, Jr., Daniel Wade Huff (Samantha), Conner Alexander Huff, Karleigh Davis, Jacob Cardona and Hayden Cardona; his great-nephew Jaiden Huff; his former wife Rachel Lewis; his father Daniel Carson Lewis; his grandmother Elizabeth Ann Nelson; his uncle Buddy Nelson; and his brother-in-law Robert Huff.
