He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill" Pohoresky; his sister Lisa Smith; his stepparents, Benny Cappo and Judy Pohoresky; and his grandparents, Morris Riggs, Annie Mae Riggs and Anna Kent.
He is survived by: his children, David Shane Pohoresky, Jamie Pohoresky of Morehead City and Tiffany Garner of Cary; and his siblings, Willie Pohoresky (Kathy) of Newport, Debra Tabuchi of Newport, Lorrie Raines of Newport, Debra Arnold (Mark) of Newport and Susie Tobin of Newport. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
