He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Ann Rudd Smith; and his parents, Vernona Smith and Bernice Collins Smith. He is survived by: his daughters, Glenda John (Richard) of Newport and Billie Smith (Al Simpson) of Newport; his siblings, Gloria Faye Barnett (Jimmy) of Salter Path, Clara Mizelle of Salter Path, Eddie Smith and Nathan Smith (Michelle) of Salter Path; and his grandchildren, Hayden John, Riley John and Makayla Dail.
