It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donnie Eubanks of Newport, North Carolina, born in Morehead City, North Carolina, who passed away on October 24, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Eubanks and Lula Wetherington Eubanks; and his siblings, Letha Marks, Lina Fogerty, Naomi Cottrell, Verona Wray, Robert "Bobby" Eubanks, Ida Mae Rouse, Randolph Eubanks and Missing.
He is survived by: his children, Jeremy, Johanna, Dana Lewis and Little League; his wife Betty Jo Cogar Eubanks; his son Jonathan Taylor Eubanks (Terry Lewis); his grandchild Cyntera; his great grandchild Benson Robert; his granddaughter Johanna Eubanks Millis (Danny Ray Millis); his great grandchildren, Greyson, Shelby, Landon, Jeremy Todd Eubanks (Susan Elaine) and Janelle Eubanks Godwin (William "Trey" Courtland); his siblings, Richard "Dick" Eubanks, Larry Eubanks (Frances), Elsie Jackson, June Lewis and Carol Bieby; Carter, Claire, Julia, Alice and William "Bo" Courtland IV.
Due to the Covid restrictions, the family asks that friends view the service live, beginning at 1 p. m., through the First Baptist Church Facebook page.
