She was predeceased by: her parents, Hardy Pearce and Hettie Daughtry Pearce; and her husband Wilbert Evans. She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Herring (George) of Cedar Point, N. C., Leroy Evans of Rocky Mount, N. C. and Patsy Wise (Danny) of Dudley, N. C.; her close friend John Waters of Goldsboro, N. C.; her grandchildren, Benton Herring (Marcia), Lynda Herring Tony (Jerry Smigelski), Dana Evans, Bobby Lee Gooding (Shirley Proctor), Rodney Gooding (Lee Ann) and Tommy Wise; and her sister Elizabeth Sorrell (Yates). She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
