With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Effie Mae Gillikin (Newport, North Carolina), who passed away on June 14, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Ivey M. Gillikin and Sarah J. Gillikin; and her siblings, Doris Taylor, Grace Gillikin, Reva Wetherington, Sammie Gillikin, Ivey Gillikin, Zelva Gillikin and Monroe Gillikin.
She is survived by : her children, Pamela Gillikin and Kendall Gillikin (Ella) of Bettie; her grandson Jeremy Gillikin of Bettie; her nieces and nephews, Jackie Gillikin (Laraine) of Otway, Kenneth Gillikin (Diane) of Otway, Ronald Gillikin of Otway, Donald Gillikin of Otway, Virginia Lawrence of Otway, Carolene Goodwin (Charles) of Newport and Hilma Willis of Smyrna; and her cousin Ellen Lawrence of Otway. She is also survived by 2 children and 1 grandchild.
In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home.
