He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Patterson; his children, Tana Patterson Reynolds (Robert) of Greenville, NC, Michael "Mike" Patterson of Newport, Mark Patterson of Newport and James Daniel "Danny" Patterson (Lorraine) of Newport; and his siblings, Joyce Wells of Hendersonville, Lois Hensley of Florida, Truman Patterson of Greenville, SC and Clinton Patterson of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
