He is survived by: his father Eugene Bynum, Sr.; his sister Helen J. Bynum; and his aunts and uncles, Cloanne Kight, Verda Cooper, Dallas and James Cogdell.

A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rose - Emily Memorial Chapel of C. C. Carter Funeral Home (3700 Marshall Ave, Newport News, VA 23607).
