He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Taylor and Christine Taylor of Morehead City, N. C.. He is survived by: his wife Helen Gibson of Bogue; his aunts and uncles, Bud, Norwood, Bobby, Lloyd, Gerald, Lettie Francis, Fronie, Annie, Julia, Lois and Freda; his children, Christy Willis (Richard G. Willis III) of Morehead City and Bryan Charles Taylor of Newport; his sister Bonnie Ann Locklear (Chester Locklear) of New Bern; his grandchildren, Johnathan Garrett, Mackenzie Hudson Terry, William Taylor Willis and Ryke Willis; his great grandchildren, Layla Hart, Jameson Terry and Hudson Terry; his sibling's children, Melinda Dunn, Thomas Locklear and Stephanie Locklear; and his friends, Helen, Bill Jones and Eddie Griffin.
In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home.
