Dickens; his children, Parrish Dickens Hartgrove (Lyle) of Raleigh and Julian "Jed" Edward Dickens, Jr. (Courtney) of Raleigh; his brother Jan Johnson Dickens (Joan) of Suffolk, VA; his grandchildren, Michael "Deuce" Anthony Johnson, Jr. of Winston-Salem, Haven Elisabeth Dickens of Raleigh, Hartley Barnes Dickens of Raleigh, Carter Hartgrove of Wilmington and Sydney Hartgrove of Hampstead; and his cousin Cecil S. Holloman, Jr. of Ahoskie. He is also survived by his wife, kids, grandkids and pets.
