We are sad to announce that on July 7, 2020, at the age of 93, Manly G. Smith of Newport, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Smith and Zilphia Smith; and his siblings, Margie Smith, Rose Abersham, Sally Gould and Walter Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Jones Smith; his children, Beverly Smith Haggard (Jim) of Durham, Deanna Smith Hull of Newport and John L. Smith (Barbie) of Morehead City; his brothers, A. G. Smith of Merritt Island, FL and Mitchell Smith (Susie) of Morehead City; and his grandchildren, Matthew Haggard (Marcela) of Alexandria, VA, Tyler Haggard of Washington, DC, Nathanael Hull of Newport, Lauren Beil (Josh) of Morehead City, Joshua Hull of Newport, Faith Hull of Clearwater, FL and Lathan Smith of Middlesex, NC.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home.
