He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Salter and Geraldine Salter; and his grandparents, Alonzo, Sadie Salter, Walter and Rachel Buck.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Salter; his daughter Jessica Shannon Salter Dowdy; his sisters, Judy Smith (Buddy) of South River and Priscilla Trite (Dennis) of Wilmington; his granddaughters, Jasmine Leeann Dowdy and Lila Alicia Dowdy; and his nephews, Darrell Thacker, Dennis Thacker and Eric Gillikin.
In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home.
