He is survived by: his wife Loyce Newman of Newport; his grandchildren, Scarlett Rose Gilberg of Newport and George Henry Gilberg of Havelock; his sister Jean Newman of Beaufort; his nephews, Robert Newman of Portland, OR and Antonio Newman of Morehead City; and his pets, Patches, Munchkin and BoBo. He is also survived by several cousins and several close friends.
