It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Slaughter (Newport, North Carolina), who passed away on October 19, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Slaughter and Christine Slaughter; and his brother Gordon J. Slaughter. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Slaughter of Newport; his children, Brian Lee Slaughter (Peggy) of Newport and Barbara S. Hopkins (Ronnie) of Newport; his grandsons, Eric Alan Slaughter (Felicia), Ronald Jeremy Hopkins (Heather), Daniel James Hopkins and Matthew Hill (Nicole); and his great grandchildren, Tyler Alan Slaughter, Owen Grant Hopkins, Carter Hill and Noah Hill.
