It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley Edwin Southerland Sr. (Newport, North Carolina), who passed away on February 4, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his parents, Ben Southerland and Myrtle Southerland; and his brothers, Rip Southerland, Donald Southerland, James Southerland and Ben Southerland.

He is survived by: his children, Dr. Sherry Ann Southerland (Ben Rogers) of Tallahassee, FL, Stanley Edwin Southerland Jr. (Susan) of Newport, Gregory Eugene Southerland (Chantra) of LaPorte, TX and Ricky Steven Southerland (Julie) of Crawfordville, FL. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
