With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Teresa Smith Motes of Newport, North Carolina, born in Morehead City, North Carolina, who passed away on September 14, 2020 at the age of 66. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Teresa Smith Motes to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Roland and Christine Alene Smith; her sister Shirley McKiddy; and her siblings-in-law, Steven Motes and Pat Motes.
She is survived by: her husband Gervase Motes; her children, Helen (Craig Dawson) of Clayton, NC, Jonathan (Emily Motes) of Coldwater, MI and Suzanne (Adnan Tvrtkovic) of Sanford, NC.; and her brother Perry Smith of Newport. She is also survived by five grandchildren.
In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home.
