He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Thomas; and his brother Michael Walters. He is survived by: his mother Mildred Williams Walters of Laurinburg; his close friend Personnel; his wife Terri Rash; his children, Thom Walters (Jeri Lynn) of Wagram, Rev. Glenn Walters (Emily) of Charlotte and Kasey Norton (Michael) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Patrick Walters, Joshua Walters, Noah Walters, MeKendyn Walters, Micah Norton, Caleb Norton and Andrew Norton; and his parents-in-law, Burl and Joyce Snyder. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to The American Cancer Society or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
