It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vicky Johnson Cox of Newport, North Carolina, born in Adel, Georgia, who passed away on May 29, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by : her husband George F. Cox of Newport, NC; her children, David Cox (Laura Cox) of New Bern, NC and Meredith Coble (Adam Coble) of Newport, NC; and her great grandchildren, Austin Floyd of Hagaman, NY, Kaylee Floyd of Hagaman, NY, Madison Garner of Hagaman, NY and Emily Garner of Hagaman, NY. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Research Center.
