He was predeceased by: his father Winfred Gibson; and his sisters, Linda Joyce Littoral and Doris Overman. He is survived by: his friend Wayne; his wife Margaret Gibson; his son Jeffrey Gibson; his mother Vallie Sartin Gibson; and his siblings, Judy Mabe, Bobby Gibson and Davis Gibson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carteret County Humane Society and Animal Shelter, as Wayne was an avid animal lover.
