He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Clayton Hefner and Lonie Hull Hefner; his wife Dorothy Brooks Hefner; and his siblings, Glenn, Ralph, Robert, James Hefner and Berlene Fish.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Hefner (Beverly) of Newton and Donna Barker (Terry) of Newton; his sister Catherine Reeves of Decatur, GA; his grandson Darren Hefner (Kim) of Newton; and his great grandchildren, James Hefner and Noah Hefner.
