With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lillian Thompson Coulter of Newton, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cofford Thompson and Martha Manning Thompson; her husband Leonard "Boot" Coulter; her sons, Leonard Coulter, Jr., Ronnie Gene Coulter, Keith Eric Coulter and Scottie Ray Coulter; her son-in-law Robert Abernathy; her sister-in-law Diane R. Coulter; and her grandchildren, Caitlyn Farley and Ezekiel Squarles.
She is survived by: her daughter Toni Abernathy of Newton; her grandchildren, Bryant Coulter, Bradley Coulter, Bradley Abernathy, Maria Coulter, Sonya Coulter and Cynthis Davis (Roger); her great grandchild Keygona Brown (Jimmy) of Hickory; her sister Maggie Hewie; her niece Deborah S. Bristow; and her nephew Albert Coulter. She is also survived by 13 Great grandchildren and 18 Great Great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Burke Mortuary Chapel (2516 N Main Ave, Newton, NC 28658). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
