It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jane Porter Williams of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard B. Williams; her parents, Silas Monroe and Ruthamae Emeline Ballard Porter; her sons, Richard B. Williams, Jr. and John Robert Williams; and her brothers, Robert Porter, Carl Porter, Jack Porter, Gary Porter and Jerry Porter.
She is survived by: her siblings, Judy Macko (Ed) of Glendale, AZ, Steve Porter (Louella) of Hays and Sam Porter (Ruth) of North Wilkesboro; her children, Mary Kay Williams of Greensboro, Kathy Motsinger of Boomer and Ricky D. Williams (Rhonda) of Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Amanda Owens (Shane), Richie Williams (Kris), Dustin Wright (Brooke), Emily Cox (Marcus) and Austin Motsinger; her great grandchildren, Dylan Owens, Lynnon Williams, Jonah Wright, Beau Wright, Wade Monroe Wright, Carter Cox and Camden Cox; and her siblings-in-law, Floyd Williams (Shirley) of Millers Creek, Irene Willliams of Taylorsville and Adele Porter of Bolingbrook, Illinois.
