He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosco Brooks and Ola Johnson Brooks; and his wife Barbara Ellen McNeill Brooks. He is survived by: his children, Sharon Johnson (Leslie) of Roaring River and Steve Brooks of North Wilkesboro; his great grandchild Roman Larson; and his sister Alta Brooks of Lansing.
