With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Carley Seldon Welborn Jr. of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Carley Seldon Welborn Sr. and Cary Potts Welborn; his former wife Ruth Pharr Welborn; his wife Shirley Jarvis Welborn; his daughter Laura Reid; and his granddaughter Ruth Elizabeth Reid.
He is survived by: his brothers, T. A. Welborn, Wayne Welborn and Kenneth Welborn (Kenny); his children, Rebecca Truett, Donna Poe and Howard Welborn; and his stepdaughter Vicki Combs.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Chapel (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
