It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hubert Whittington of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Odell Whittington and Edna Irene Whittington; his brothers, John Allen Whittington and Odell Whittington, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Grace Dean Whittington.

He is survived by : his wife Maxine Sidden Whittington; his children, Tena Van Whittington Reed (William) of Hendersonville, TN, Regis Lynn Whittington Melvin (Randy) of Troutman and Hugh Sidden Whittington (Susan) of Marvin; his grandchildren, Patrick, Megan Reed of Hendersonville, TN, Conner, Grace, Olivia Whittington of Marvin, Sylvia and Gavin Melvin of Troutman; and his sister-in-law Martha Sheets Whittington of Wilkesboro.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 25th 2021 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Road, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 25th 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Baptist Home Baptist Church (2367 Sparta Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 25th 2021 at the Mountlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (196 Fan Key Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
