It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margie Auton Moretz of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Oscar Jones and Annie Greene Auton; her son Jimmie Dean Moretz; and her siblings, Lucille Fulbright, Ruth Auton, Jay Auton, Willard Auton and William Auton.
She is survived by : her husband James Moretz; her children, Penny Wilmot (Don) of Jacksonville, FL, Regina Elledge of Lexington and Mark Moretz (Cindy) of Purlear; her grandchildren, Brandon Moretz (Amy), Nicholas Wilmot, Devin Moretz (Patricia), Brittany Veach (Andrew), Tyler Wilmot (Kayla), Justin Wilmot (Andrea), Cynthia Leonard, Dylan Wilmot, James Dean Moretz (Rylee), Kiyly Blackburn (Austin), MaKayla Elledge and Sebastian Elledge; and her daughter-in-law Annette Moretz of Millers Creek. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
