Scotty Shumate Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 22, 2025, at the age of 53, Scotty Shumate of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Scotty is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Scotty's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie Shumate of North Wilkesboro; his children, Cody Shumate of North Wilkesboro and Summer Shumate of North Wilkesboro; his parents, Larry Shumate and Madge Shumate of North Wilkesboro; his brother Chad Shumate (Julie) of Hays; his nephew Dylan Shumate (Lauren) of North Wilkesboro; and his niece Makenna Hall (Devin) of McGrady.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pine View Baptist Church Cemetery (6435 Sparta Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
