She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Hayes and Effie Campbell Hayes; her husband John Dixon Costner; her son Phil Dixon Costner; and her siblings, Vertie Barnette, Clyde, Ray, Brady, Edd, Parks and Sant Hayes.
She is survived by : her daughters, Helen Anderson (Bobby) of Wilkesboro and Martha McBride of Millers Creek; her grandchildren, Darlene Shumate (Donnie), Tammy Jones (Johnny), Robin Anderson, Regina Mathis (Derrick) and Amy Suggs (Robbie); her great grandchildren, Darren Shumate (Lize), Dana Felts (Shane), Sunshine Jones, Tonya Severt (Daniel), Garrett Griffin, Brittany Mathis (Joey Heider), Dalton Mathis, Madison Billings, Leanna Watson (Ben) and Cailyn Suggs; and her great great grandchildren, Matthew Ellis, Andrew Ellis, Chandler Ellis, Carys Felts, Gabriel Felts, McKinley Severt, Rylan Severt and Brandon Welborn.
