She was predeceased by: her parents, Nay Honeycutt and Grovine Barbee Honeycutt. She is survived by: her husband Johnny Gardner; her son Rick Gardner (Jonathan Evans) of Concord; her grandson Joshua Gardner (Matthew Cox) of Greenville, NC.; and her friend Dwight Furr.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Hospice of Stanly & the Uwharrie.
