Vivian Grooms Searcy Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Grooms Searcy (Old Fort, North Carolina), who passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Frank Grooms and Eunie Fields Grooms; her siblings, Gladys, Frank, Ervin, Edna, Cecil, Roy, Martha, Joe and Anna Ruth; and her granddaughter Shawn E. Nance.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joan Searcy Nance, Jane Searcy and Alice Searcy Melcher (Mark); her grandchildren, J. Clay Nance, John S. Melcher and Sarah C. Melcher; and her close friends, Lorena Burnette and Kathy Marler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Donations in Vivian's honor may be made to Old Fort United Methodist Church or to the American Heart Association.
