He is survived by: his wife Linda Lewis Caroon; his sons, Neal Caroon (Theresa) of Oriental, Craig Caroon (Cate) of Durham and Clay Caroon (Christy) of Oriental; his grandchildren, Haley Caroon, Raven C. Herring, Nathan Caroon, Mason Caroon, Cole Caroon, Cougar Caroon and Bryce Dunham; his great grandchild Ariella; and his sisters, Hellen Hardison and Glenda O'Neal.
