William Michael Gates Obituary
In loving memory of William Michael Gates of Oriental, North Carolina, who departed this world on September 10, 2025 at the age of 77. William leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Gates and Rose Gates; his sister Valerie Gates; and his wife Janice Gates. He is survived by: his children, William Justin Gates (Kaylee), Michael Louis Gates and Denise Marie Gates; his brother Howard Gates (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Lyra Gates, Annabelle Gates, Brandon Jock (Olivia) and Jaden Jock.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oriental First Baptist Church (605 Broad St, Oriental, NC 28571).
As an expression of sympathy, the family suggested memorial donations be directed to Hospice of Pamlico, PO Box 6, Bayboro, NC 28515 in Bill's memory.
