He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Hester, Sr. and Rebecca Royster Hester. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Greene Hester; his daughters, Terilyn E. Hester of Durham and Shawanda H. Lawrence (Glenn) of Franklinton; his brother Robert L. Hester, Jr. (Catherine) of Lansing, MI; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Greene Greer of Henderson, Joe Greene, Jr. of Oxford, Earl Greene, Sr. of Oxford, Ervin Greene (Ludia) of Oxford, Henry Greene (Mae) of Oxford, Michael Greene of Oxford, Leon Greene (Tracey) of Oxford, Kenneth Greene (Lue Wanda) of Oxford, Otis Greene of Oxford, Larry Greene (Marilyn) of Wake Forest, Keith Greene of Durham, Donald Greene of Durham and Ronnie Greene of Durham.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 13 at 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Edward Davis (services will be limited to fifty attendees, face coverings required and social distancing).
