She is survived by : her children, Sh'Rhonda Sawyer (Joshua) of Elizabeth City, NC, Sultana Islam (Ghazi) of Raleigh, NC and Christopher Purvis (Audrey) of Robersonville, NC; and her siblings, William Purvis of Brooklyn, NY, James Purvis of Robersonville, NC, Ray Purvis (Mary) of Far Rockaway, NY, Charles Purvis of Brooklyn, NY, Carolyn Purvis of Hamilton, NC and Nancy Greene (Billie) of Hamilton, NC. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
