It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dewey Leonard Ward of Peachland, North Carolina, who passed away on December 13, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Dewey Daniel Ward and Henribelle Talent Ward; his wife Mary Stewart Ward; and his sister Joyce Vollmer. He is survived by : his children, Vanessa Ward Tomberlin of Charlotte and Nolan Ward (Wanda) of Peachland; his grandchildren, Laura Kaylan Ward of Colorado Springs, CO, Trent Ward and Haley Black of Peachland; his siblings, Richard K. Ward of Peachland and Merietta Cox of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his close friend Adgie James of Wadesboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Kilwinning Masonic Lodge , P.O. Box 298, Wadesboro, NC 28170 for the Masonic Home for Children.
