It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Annie Gwynn Yancey of Pelham, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ross Gwynn Sr. and Clyde Estelle Cannon Gwynn; her husband James Henry Yancey Sr.; her children, James Henry Yancey Jr. "Boo" and Annie Yancey Sellars; and her siblings, Ulysses Field Gwynn, Roy Gwynn, Billie Gwynn, Rachel Holland, Mary Graves, Mariah Shirley and Florence Gwynn.
She is survived by : her children, Sharon Holloway (Minister David Holloway) of Danville, VA., Minister Angel Patrick (George) of Pelham, NC and Michael Earl Yancey (Terri) of Louisburg, NC; her son-in-law Edward Gordon Sellars of Pelham, NC; her siblings, Deacon Ross Gwynn Jr. (Ethel) of Pelham, NC and Eleanor Mitchell of Los Angels, California; and her sisters-in-law, Esther Gwynn of Pelham, NC, Lillie Yancey of Pelham, NC, Earlene Yancey of Pelham, NC and Marjorie Yancey of Reidsville, NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren; three great grandchild; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Friday, February 25, 2022, from 2 p. m. to 7 p. m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
