He was loved and cherished by many people including : his mother Lossie Pearl Stokes Lea of Ruffin, NC; his grandparents, Frank Stokes and Flossie Holloway Stokes; his son Charles; his wife Shirley Mae Stokes; his siblings, Virginia Sue Harris and William Timothy Lea; his son Curtis Bailey Stokes, Jr. of Danville, VA; his grandchildren, Jaylen of Elpaso, TX, Saniyah Am'ei Stokes of Elpaso, TX, Tamia Brooks of Elpaso, TX, Charles Rae of Syracuse, NY, Kierra Mcgriff of Syracuse, NY and Tameya Ma'shelle Artis Stokes of Reidsville, NC; his siblings, Nellie Williams (Ralph) of Charlotte, NC, Hester Toomer of Danville, VA, Pat Henderson of Ruffin, NC, Jerry Lea (Beulah) of Reidsville, NC, Nelson "Ivan" Lea (Shelia) of Reidsville, NC and Roland Lea (Jacqueline) of Englewood, NJ; his siblings-in-law, Vanessa Staples (Richard) of Danville, VA, Wanda Blackwell of Danville, VA, Eddie Joe Harris of Ruffin, NC and Thomas "Tommie" Johnson (Olivia) of Danville, VA; and his close friend Larry Nunnally. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
