In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Arlinda leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Arlinda may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arrester Oxendine and Armindia Oxendine; her son D. L. McGirt; her siblings, Lena Bell Oxendine and Arrester; her grandparents, Irene Oxendine, Frank and Almina Bartley; and her stepdaughter Vaness Lynn Jones.
She is survived by: her husband Edward Jones; her daughter MaKenley Oxendine of Fairmont; and her sister Mary Helen Hunt (family: Oxendine Farm) of Rowland. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Floyd Funeral Services (1549 Marion Stage Rd, Fairmont, NC 28340). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Floyd Funeral Services Chapel (1549 Marion Stage Rd, Fairmont, NC 28340).
