She was predeceased by: her husband James Frank Scott; her mother Della Ransom Brewer; her sister Joyce Ransom Oxendine; her children, Nancy Louise Ransom and Victor Ransom; and her nephew Cardean Locklear.

She is survived by: her nephew Ricky Ransom; her niece Virginia Hunt (Drake); her daughter-in-law Julie Lowery; and her grandchildren, Nikita, Stephen, Lucas, Kennedy, Jensen and Lensington. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
