It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helmut Stephen Backi (Pfafftown, North Carolina), who passed away on April 21, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Backi and Marie Backi; and his grandparents, Katrin Huppert, Peter and Susan Backi.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Backi; his sons, Stefan Backi, Kyle Backi and Justin Backi; his grandsons, Carson and Jacob; his sister Eleanor Meredyk; and his father-in-law Billy Page.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion, 111 Miller St. Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
