It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Estelle Avery of Pfafftown, North Carolina, who passed away on June 4, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Lila E. Avery; and her brothers, Jefferson, James Avery and Russell Fleming. She is survived by: her daughter Mildred Avery Tanner (Purnell) of Pfafftown; her grandsons, Purnell Tanner, Jr. and Jonathan Tanner; her brother Forest Fleming, Jr.; and her close friend Dorothy Tanner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
